DUO PLAST celebrates family festival at the production site in Sünna
This year, DUO PLAST AG is celebrating its 40th anniversary at its site in Lauterbach (Hesse), its 20th anniversary at its site in Sünna (Thuringia) and the 10th anniversary of the company’s own technology center (DUO LAB). As a major employer and training company in the region, the company produces and sells stretch films.
The company’s anniversary was celebrated with a big family party last Saturday. The party for all employees with their partners and children formed the central focus of the company celebrations. Today, the company can look back on a long and successful history, thanks above all to the dedicated employees who have played a key role in shaping the company’s history.
Various tours took interested visitors through the plant in Sünna and the adjacent technology center on this day. In the production halls, visitors were able to marvel at the high-performance extrusion lines and follow the production process from the granulate to the finished film roll.
In the DUO LAB, visitors were fascinated by the latest innovations in the field of packaging machines and the simulation of a wide variety of test procedures. There was plenty of fun for the youngsters in a play area with a bouncy castle, goal wall shooting, painting tables and much more. Food and drink were also well catered for on the day with barbecued sausages, salads, coffee and cake as well as ice cream for the little ones.
At the entrance to the marquee, a donation box drew attention to the charity project “MOBILE Familien in Lauterbach e.V.”. The association was founded in 1989 as an initiative of families who were committed to helping parents and children in Lauterbach. In the meantime, the association has grown to over 150 families and sees itself as a community, network and at the same time as a mouthpiece for our families in Lauterbach.
